Flamenco was the main character on Las Dalias on Thursday, August 27. Tomasito, Salistre and El Duende Callejero gathered in the garden of the Sant Carles location to show three different ways of understanding gender.
Tomasito is one of the most unique figures in flamenco and has been taking him on unexpected paths for more than three decades. Born in Jerez to a traditional Flemish family, he has mixed the genre with rumba, rock, funk and hip hop. Among his collaborators are Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis, Chano Domínguez and Kiko Veneno.
He was accompanied by El Duende Callejero, which fuses flamenco with other styles, and Salistre.
The quote confirmed that Ibiza’s musical offer goes far beyond electronics and that Las Dalias remains a key stage for live music.
