Smokin ⁇ Jo arrives in Ibiza with decades of dance music history behind her. The British pioneer debuts in Flash at Pikes Ibiza at Island Heroes, the beloved annual edition of the festival, on Thursday 13 August.
DJ, producer and writer, Smokin ⁇ Jo remains one of the great pioneers of club culture. Over 30 years ago she became the first, and still the only, female DJ of the year by DJ Magazine. She also recently published her autobiography, «You Don ⁇ t Need A Dick To DJ».
Island Heroes has become a celebration of the DJs and selectors who have marked the island’s musical history.
The choice of Smokin’ Jo fits with the spirit of Pikes, a place that has been closely linked to the memory of the shooting scene.
